Family is very important to us both and a central part of our lives.
Our parents are anxiously awaiting becoming grandparents (anxious
is an understatement) and there is a team of aunts, uncles and cousins
waiting to welcome our child into the family. Although our families live
in Maine, Michigan, New York and Massachusetts, we get together often.
One ofCarson’s sister lives very close to them both in the city and in upstate
New York. We look forward to teaching our family traditions such as corn beef and cabbage on Saint Patrick’s Day or going to the movies on Thanksgiving.
We are also extremely lucky to have so many incredible friends in our lives, most dating back to high school or college. Today, many of our friends have children, so play dates are ready to be scheduled. We lead a relatively active social life, mostly hosting people for the weekend where children as always welcome. One of the highlights of our wedding were two close friends who
had just given birth within the past three months who still made the trip up north to be with us…baby in tow. What a great memory to have as we took one step forward in building our family with the hopes of having a baby ourselves.
